TV Show- 90210
This is unbelievable that we are dealing with something like this:
On the heels of its teen-sex-and-drug series Gossip Girl, on September 1st the CW launched 90210, a spin-off/sequel to the 1990s series Beverly Hills 90210. After the recent round of disastrous publicity which the CW received for its Gossip Girl ads, the network decided to withhold previews of 90210 from critics or advertisers. Now we know why: the 90210 premiere featured an implied scene of high school children engaged in oral sex. This scene appeared in the show's first minutes, at 8:00 p.m. ET (only 7:00 p.m. in the Central and Mountain time zones). The episode also contained underage drinking, scads of profanity, and a scene in which two teens tour the set of a pornographic movie...and all this was on the teen-targeted program's first episode!
"The CW Network has openly, wantonly and eagerly violated every business tenet of the broadcast industry. They shocked viewers during the family hour by depicting high school children engaged in oral sex in their car; they sucker-punched their ultimate customers – the program’s sponsors, by not adequately disclosing the nature of this scene in the program; and they directly and intentionally marketed this adult fare to children," said PTC President Tim Winter.
